(stating the obvious)<\/li>\n<li>Does it have Aperture \/ Shutter \/ Manual priority modes ?<\/li>\n<li>Megapixels \/ resolution ?<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Shutter lag&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Shot-to-Shot time<\/li>\n<li>Batteries ?<\/li>\n<li>Shot capacity<\/li>\n<li>White balancing options<\/li>\n<li>RAW format ?<\/li>\n<li>Zoom range<\/li>\n<li>Lens<\/li>\n<li>Macro mode<\/li>\n<li>Strobe (flashgun) availability<\/li>\n<li>Options &#8211; add-on lenses, filters etc.<\/li>\n<li>(recent feature) image stabilisation<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;My mode&#8221; \/ user presets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Of course, some of these &#8220;trade off&#8221; against others.<br \/>\nFor example, shooting in RAW mode will slow down shot-to-shot, and will also reduce the number of images you can fit on a memory card.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ll be expanding on this topic as time goes on.
