{"id":57,"date":"2007-04-12T02:08:35","date_gmt":"2007-04-12T01:08:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/muttznutz.net\/muttzblog\/post-processing\/lightroom-arrives-woohoo\/2007\/04\/12"},"modified":"2008-10-18T10:12:15","modified_gmt":"2008-10-18T09:12:15","slug":"lightroom-arrives-woohoo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/muttznutz.net\/muttzblog\/post-processing\/lightroom-arrives-woohoo","title":{"rendered":"Lightroom arrives (woohoo)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At last I&#8217;ve got my hands on a release copy of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/products\/photoshoplightroom\/\">Adobe&#8217;s LightRoom<\/a>.<br \/>\nLet me say before I continue that I think this is a really nice product for the sort of stuff I need to do (mostly exposure adjustment \/ white balancing \/ metadata management \/ resizing).<\/p>\n<p>I ordered it from Adobe&#8217;s shop on 22nd Feb, then downloaded the 30-day trial to tide me over.<br \/>\nOf course, just as I need to use it (back from Hurghada) &#8230; the trial times out.<br \/>\nSo I check the site &#8230; the order is still pending, due for shipment on 1st March &#8230;. it&#8217;s now April, and I&#8217;ve had no communication.<br \/>\nI raised a case. This is promptly closed &#8211; apparently I&#8217;m a priority case, but there&#8217;s still no firm timescale.<br \/>\nI asked for a temporary key &#8211; apparently this is not possible.<br \/>\nSo I cancelled and ordered through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\">Amazon<\/a>.
